Who We Are

Initially a minuscule project created by a couple of high school students, The Student’s Neurological Society has grown into an organization dedicated to empowering students to get involved in the field of neuroscience while also making a positive contribution to the lives of those impacted by neurological disorders.

The origin of this 501(c)(3) non-profit, if anything, is humble: it began as a hopeful idea transformed into reality by Keshav Mopati, McKinley Pasiakos, Riddhi Kshirsagar, and Oliver Hoerth, all students of the Center of Research, Engineering, and Technology (CREST) in Paradise Valley High School, Phoenix, Arizona.

In their time at CREST, McKinley, Keshav, Riddhi, and Oliver acknowledged that their unique program allowed them to utilize a plethora of resources to explore their passions in neuroscience. But more importantly, they recognized that the equipment, specialized courses, and mentored guidance at their disposal were not readily available for other high school students in Arizona. So, they founded theSNOS to bridge the gap in access to quality education, mentorship, and hands-on experience for students passionate about exploring the vast field of neuroscience.

In conjunction with expanding access to resources for other students, theSNOS is also dedicated to making positive, impactful contributions to the lives of those with neurological disorders. We achieve this goal through gracious donations and meticulously planned community service and fundraising events. From item drives to heartfelt craft packages, we employ the passion of students and individuals across Arizona to fill substantial needs for those with neurological disorders.

We are The Student’s Neurological Outreach Society, and we hope that you join us in our mission to bridge the gap in access to quality education, mentorship, and hands-on experience, and to make positive, impactful contributions to the lives of those with neurological disorders.
